Open-source research platform for Bitcoin's greatest unsolved challenges. Track puzzles, analyze clues, and explore community research.
All tracked puzzles sorted by ranking score
In 2015, an anonymous creator sent Bitcoin to a sequence of addresses whose private keys follow a specific mathematical pattern — each puzzle requires finding a private key within a progressively larger range. The puzzles are widely known in the cryptography community and represent some of the most fascinating open challenges in computational number theory.
As of 2024, puzzles with lower bit lengths have been solved — often through brute force scanning of the key space. Higher bit-length puzzles (64-bit and above) remain unsolved, requiring either enormous computational resources or novel cryptographic breakthroughs.
This platform aggregates publicly available research and community analysis. All data comes from open sources, public blockchain explorers, and community discussions.
